Seoul Hackathon Event Highlights

The first ever Aptos World Tour Hackathon in Seoul, Korea, took place from February 1-3, 2023, attracting over 400 applicants, 180+ participants, and culminating in 15 winners. The event showcased innovative presentations, with participants demonstrating their creativity, passion, and skill in front of a supportive, active community.

The Seoul Hackathon aimed to encourage innovation on the Aptos platform across five areas: Gaming, Social/NFTs, DeFi, Tooling, and the Move language. Over 50 projects were submitted, and 15 emerged as winners, impressing the judges with their effort, execution, innovation, and presentation of ideas.

Here is the list of the top three winners for each section:

Gaming: AptoPlay, Yours, CannedBi

Social/NFTs: Life Mining, Per Second, Did You EAT?

DeFi: Merkle Trade, Neutral Alpha, Umi Pool (Umi AMM)

Tooling: MoveHub, Genie, InBond

Best Move: Werewolf and Witch, Options Factory, Coin Object (NodeInfra)

Impact

The Seoul Hackathon has positively impacted the Web 3.0 space by promoting the development of novel applications and fostering a sense of community among developers.
